POWER STEERING OIL PUMP PULLEY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [L3]

1. Remove the splash shield (RH).

2. Remove the drive belt. (See DRIVE BELT REPLACEMENT [L3].)

3. Using the SST, lock the power steering oil pump pulley against rotation, and loosen the pump installation nut.

4. Remove the power steering oil pump pulley.

5. Install a new power steering oil pump pulley, and temporarily install the washer and nut.

6. Using the SST, lock the power steering oil pump pulley against rotation, and tighten the installation nut to the specified torque.

Tightening torque

63.0-73.0 N·m {6.5-7.4 kgf·m, 47.1-53.5 ft·lbf}

7. Install the drive belt. (See DRIVE BELT REPLACEMENT [L3].)

Note

• If the drive belt auto tensioner indicator mark has exceeded the limit, replace the drive belt with a new one.

8. Install the splash shield (RH).
