• Passenger-side side air bag sensor (internal circuit abnormal)
• The passenger-side side air bag sensor monitors the scale of an impact. If the crash event is severe enough for the passenger-side side air bag module to operate (deploy), the sensor will signal the SAS control module to operate (deploy) the passenger-side side air bag. The SAS control module monitors signals which are not within the specification to the passenger-side side air bag sensor. If the SAS control module receives a signal from the passenger-side side air bag sensor which indicates improper installation of the sensor, it will store DTC B2445 in memory and output a pattern 49 flash to the air bag system warning light.
