REAR LH SEAT BELT BUCKLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

Removal/Installation

Warning

• All seat belt components including seat belt retractors/buckles/anchors, seat belt shoulder height adjusters (if equipped), child seat anchors, and installation hardware should be inspected after any collision. All seat belt components should be replaced unless a qualified technician finds the components show no damage and operate properly. Seat belt components not in use during a collision should also be inspected and replaced if either damage or improper operation is noted.

1. Raise the seat cushion foward.

2. Lower the seat back rearward.

3. Remove he seat belt and buckle.

(1) Position the carpet out of the way.

(2) Remove the bolt.

(3) Push the seat belt and buckle into the carpet and remove.

4. Install in the reverse order of removal.

Note

• After positioning the seat, verify that seat belt is not twisted.

• After positioning the seat, verify that the seat belt and buckle are useable.

• Verify that the bolt is tightened to the specified torque.

5. Verify that the seat belt system operates normally.
