• All seat belt components including seat belt retractors/buckles/anchors, seat belt shoulder height adjusters (if equipped), child seat anchors, and installation hardware should be inspected after any collision. All seat belt components should be replaced unless a qualified technician finds the components show no damage and operate properly. Seat belt components not in use during a collision should also be inspected and replaced if either damage or improper operation is noted.
1. Remove the child-restraint seat anchor cover from the roof near the liftgate.
2. Remove the child-restraint seat anchor.

(1) Remove the bolt.

(2) Remove the child-restraint seat anchor.
3. Install in the reverse order of removal.

• Make sure to tighten the bolt/anchor to the specified torque. If not tightened to the specified torque, the child-restraint seat anchor may not be properly secured, and the child could be injured in case of a sudden stop or accident.

• Rework the sheet metal to its original condition and structural integrity.

• Verify that the bolt is tightened to the specified torque.
4. Verify that the seat belt system operates normally.
