1. Operate the wiper/washer systems and verify the malfunction indicated by the customer.

2. Referring to the following chart, perform visual inspection for obvious mechanical and electrical malfunctions.

3. If the cause of the indicated or obvious malfunction is detected, repair as necessary before going to the next step.

4. Perform the DTC inspection using the WDS or equivalent.

5. If any DTC related to the malfunction is read, refer to the "DTC TABLE [WIPER/WASHER SYSTEMS]" and continue malfunction diagnosis.

6. If any DTC related to the malfunction is not read, refer to the "SYMPTOM TROUBLESHOOTING CHART [WIPER/WASHER SYSTEMS]" and continue malfunction diagnosis.
