VERIFY TNS ILLUMINATION
Turn the light switch to the ON position.
Does the TNS illuminate normally?

Yes
|
Go to the next step.
|
No

VERIFY FRONT FOG LIGHT ILLUMINATION
Turn the front fog light switch to the ON position.
Does the front fog light illuminate normally?
|
Yes
|
Go to the next step.
|
No
|

|
INSPECT FRONT FOG LIGHT INDICATOR LIGHT
Turn the front fog light switch to the ON position.
Does the front fog light indicator light illuminate?
|
Yes
|
If the front fog light indicator light stays on, go to Step 5.
|
No
|
Go to the next step.
|

|
INSPECT POWER SUPPLY
Turn the ignition switch off.
Disconnect the instrument cluster connector.
Turn the light switch to the ON position.
Turn the front fog light switch to the ON position.
Measure the voltage at instrument cluster terminal 2H (harness-side).
Is the voltage more than 10 V?

Yes
|
Go to Step 6.
|
No
|
Repair or replace the wiring harness. Inspect the system for normal operation.

INSPECT FOR SHORT TO POWER SUPPLY
Turn the ignition switch off.
Disconnect the instrument cluster connector.
Measure the voltage at instrument cluster terminal 2H (harness-side).
Is there voltage?

Yes
|
Repair or replace the wiring harness. Inspect the system for normal operation.
|
No
|
Go to Step 6.
|

INSPECT INSTRUMENT CLUSTER OPERATION
Disconnect all the instrument cluster connectors.
Inspection:
• Corrosion
• Terminal separation
Connect all the instrument cluster connectors and verify that their positions are correct.
Operate the system and inspect for any malfunction.
Is any malfunction still present?

Yes
|
Replace the instrument cluster. Inspect the system for normal operation.
|
No
|
The system operates normally. The malfunction may result from loose connectors or corrosion. Clear the DTC. Repeat the self-test.
