VERIFY REAR FOG LIGHT ILLUMINATION
Turn the light switch to the ON position.
Turn the rear fog light switch to the ON position.
Does the rear fog light illuminate normally?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No

MONITOR INSTRUMENT CLUSTER PID RFOG_SW
Connect the WDS or equivalent to the DLC-2.
Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
While monitoring the instrument cluster PID HD_LMP_S3, turn the rear fog light switch to the ON and the OFF positions.
Does the PID HD_LMP_S3 display agree with the rear fog light switch position?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No

INSPECT INSTRUMENT CLUSTER OPERATION
Disconnect all the instrument cluster connectors.
Inspection:
• Corrosion
• Terminal separation
Connect all the instrument cluster connectors and verify that their positions are correct.
Operate the system and inspect for any malfunction.
Is any malfunction still present?
Yes
Replace the instrument cluster. Inspect the system for normal operation.
No
The system operates normally. The malfunction may result from loose connectors or corrosion. Clear the DTC. Repeat the self-test.
