1. Operate the system and verify the malfunction indicated by the customer.

2. Referring to the following chart, perform visual inspection for obvious mechanical and electrical malfunctions.

• Engine oil filter • Oil pump • Engine oil level • Door adjustment • Thermostat • Fuel tank • Drive belt	• Central junction box (CJB) fuse • Battery junction box (BJB) fuse • Indicator light bulb • Circuit • Instrument cluster • ECT sensor • Oil pressure switch

3. If the cause of the indicated or obvious malfunction is detected, repair as necessary before going to the next step.

4. If the malfunction is still present after the inspection, connect the WDS or equivalent, and then perform diagnostic test according to the display.

5. If any DTC related to the malfunction is read, refer to the DTC TABLE and continue malfunction diagnosis.

6. If any DTC related to the malfunction is not read, refer to SYMPTOM TROUBLESHOOTING CHART and continue malfunction diagnosis.
