INSPECT POWER SUPPLY TO HEADLIGHT RELAY
Turn the headlight to the ON position.
Does the headlight illuminate normally?

Yes
|
Go to the next step.
|

No
|
Refer to the 'Symptom Troubleshooting Chart' for the discharge headlight.
|

|
INSPECT POWER SUPPLY TO HEADLIGHT LEVELING ACTUATOR
Disconnect the headlight connector.
Turn the headlight to the ON position.
Measure the voltage at headlight leveling actuator terminal C.
Does the voltage exceed 10 V?

Yes
|
Go to the next step.
|
|
No
|
Repair the related wiring harness.
|
|

|
INSPECT HEADLIGHT LEVELING SWITCH GROUND
Disconnect the headlight leveling switch connector.
Measure the resistance between headlight leveling switch terminal C and ground.
Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
|
Yes
|
Go to the next step.
|
|
No
|
Repair the related wiring harness.
|
|

|
INSPECT HEADLIGHT LEVELING CONTROL CIRCUIT
Measure the resistance between headlight leveling switch terminal B and headlight leveling actuator terminal D.
Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
|
Yes
|
Replace the headlight leveling switch.
|
|
No
|
Repair the related wiring harness.
|
