INSPECT WDS OR EQUIVALENT FOR DAMAGE
Inspect the WDS or equivalent for damage.
Is the WDS or equivalent normal?

Yes
|
Go to the next step.
|
No
|
Replace the wiring harness. Perform the network test.
|

|
INSPECT DLC-2 FOR DAMAGE
Turn the ignition switch off.
Inspect the DLC-2 terminal D and the related wiring harness.
Is the DLC-2 connector and the related wiring harness normal?
|
Yes
|
Go to the next step.
|
No
|
Repair or replace the DLC-2 and the related wiring harness. Perform the network test.
|

|
INSPECT FOR OPEN CIRCUIT BETWEEN DLC-2 AND GEM
Measure the resistance between GEM terminal 1U (harness-side) and DLC-2 terminal D.
Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
|
Yes
|
Go to the next step.
|
No
|
Replace the wiring harness. Perform the network test.
|

INSPECT FOR SHORT TO GROUND AND POWER SUPPLY (WITH GEM DISCONNECTED)
Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
Does the WDS or equivalent indicate that the system operates normally?

Yes
|
Go to Step 10.
|
No
|
Go to the next step.
|

INSPECT FOR OPEN CIRCUIT BETWEEN DLC-2 AND SAS CONTROL MODULE
Measure the resistance between SAS control module terminal 2M (harness-side) and DLC-2 terminal D.
Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
|
Yes
|
Go to the next step.
|
No
|
Replace the wiring harness. Perform the network test.
|

|
INSPECT FOR SHORT TO GROUND AND POWER SUPPLY (WITH SAS CONTROL MODULE DISCONNECTED)
Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
Does the WDS or equivalent indicate that the system operates normally?
|
Yes
|
Go to Step 11.
|
No
|
Go to the next step.
|

INSPECT FOR OPEN CIRCUIT BETWEEN DLC-2 AND ABS HU/CM
Measure the resistance between ABS HU/CM terminal F (harness-side) and DLC-2 terminal D.
Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
|
Yes
|
Go to the next step.
|
No
|
Replace the wiring harness. Perform the network test.
|

|
INSPECT FOR SHORT TO GROUND AND POWER SUPPLY (WITH ABS HU/CM DISCONNECTED)
Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
Does the WDS or equivalent indicate that the system operates normally?

Yes
|
Go to Step 12.
|
No
|
Go to the next step.
|

|
INSPECT ABS TEST CONNECTOR FOR DAMAGE
Turn the ignition switch off.
Inspect the ABS test connector terminal H and the related wiring harness.
Is the ABS test connector normal?
|
Yes
|
Replace the wiring harness. Perform the network test.
|
No
|
Replace the wiring harness. Perform the network test.
|

|
INSPECT GEM OPERATION
Disconnect all the GEM connectors.
Inspection:
• Corrosion
• Terminal separation
Connect all the GEM connectors and verify that their positions are correct.
Operate the system and inspect for any malfunction.
Is any malfunction still present?

Yes
|
Replace the GEM. Perform the network test.
|
No
|
The system operates normally. The malfunction may result from loose connectors or corrosion. Clear the DTC. Repeat the self-test.

INSPECT SAS CONTROL MODULE OPERATION
Disconnect all SAS control module connectors.
Inspection:
• Corrosion
• Terminal separation
Connect all the SAS connectors and verify that their positions are correct.
Operate the system and inspect for any malfunction.
Is any malfunction still present?

Yes
|
Replace the SAS control module. Perform the network test.
|
No
|
The system operates normally. The malfunction may result from loose connectors or corrosion. Clear the DTC. Repeat the self-test.
|

INSPECT ABS HU/CM OPERATION
Disconnect all the ABS HU/CM connectors.
Inspection:
• Corrosion
• Terminal separation
Connect all the ABS HU/CM connectors and verify that their positions are correct.
Operate the system and inspect for any malfunction.
Is any malfunction still present?

Yes
|
Replace the ABS HU/CM.
Perform the network test.
|
No
|
The system operates normally. The malfunction may result from loose connectors or corrosion. Clear the DTC. Repeat the self-test.
