INSPECTION

INSPECT PCM CONNECTOR
Turn the ignition switch off.
Disconnect the PCM connector.
Inspect the PCM connector for damage.
Is the PCM connector normal?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Replace the wiring harness. Perform the network test.

INSPECT FOR OPEN CIRCUIT BETWEEN PCM AND DLC-2
Turn the ignition switch off.
Disconnect the PCM connector.
Measure the resistance between the following PCM terminals and DLC-2 connector terminals.
• PCM terminal 16 and DLC-2 terminal N
• PCM terminal 15 and DLC-2 terminal M
Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Replace the wiring harness. Perform the network test.

INSPECT PCM OPERATION
Disconnect all the PCM connectors.
Inspection:
• Corrosion
• Terminal separation
Connect all the PCM connectors and verify that their positions are correct.
Operate the system and inspect for any malfunction.
Is any malfunction still present?
Yes
Replace the PCM. Perform the network test.
No
The system operates normally. The malfunction may result from loose connectors or corrosion. Clear the DTC. Repeat the self-test.
