INSPECT INSTRUMENT CLUSTER CONNECTOR
Turn the ignition switch off.
Disconnect the instrument cluster connector.
Inspect the instrument cluster connector for damage.
Is the instrument cluster connector normal?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Replace the wiring harness. Perform the network test.

INSPECT FOR OPEN CIRCUIT BETWEEN DLC-2 AND INSTRUMENT CLUSTER
Inspect the resistance between the following instrument cluster terminals and DLC-2 terminals.
• Instrument cluster terminal 3E and DLC-2 terminal N
• Instrument cluster terminal 3C and DLC-2 terminal M
Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Replace the wiring harness. Perform the network test.

INSPECT INSTRUMENT CLUSTER OPERATION
Disconnect all the instrument cluster connectors.
Inspection:
• Corrosion
• Terminal separation
Connect all the instrument cluster connectors and verify that their positions are correct.
Operate the system and inspect for any malfunction.
Is any malfunction still present?
Yes
Replace the instrument cluster.
Perform the network test.
No
The system operates normally. The malfunction may result from loose connectors or corrosion. Clear the DTC. Repeat the self-test.
