INSPECT REAR FOG LIGHT SWITCH OPERATION
Disconnect the rear fog light switch connector.
Does the rear fog light go out?

Yes
|
Replace the rear fog light switch. (See REAR FOG LIGHT SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

No
|
Go to the next step.

INSPECT INSTRUMENT CLUSTER OPERATION
Disconnect the instrument cluster connector.
Does the rear fog light go out?

Yes
|
Go to Step 4.
|
No
|
Go to the next step.
|

|
INSPECT REAR FOG LIGHT RELAY
Disconnect the rear fog light relay connector.
Does the rear fog light go out?
|
Yes
|
Replace the rear fog light switch. (See REAR FOG LIGHT SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
|
No
|
Repair the short circuit to ground in the related wiring harnesses.
|

|
INSPECT INSTRUMENT CLUSTER OPERATION
Disconnect all the instrument cluster connectors.
Inspect for the following items:
• Corrosion
• Terminal separation
Connect all the connectors and verify that their positions are correct.
Operate the system and inspect for any malfunction.
Is there any malfunction?

Yes
|
Replace the instrument cluster.
Clear the DTC.
Perform the DTC inspection for the instrument cluster.

No
|
Repair the short circuit to ground in the related wiring harnesses.
|
