BUCKET FRONT SEAT CREAK CONDITION LOCATED AT INNER PIVOT BUSHING - REPLACE NEW DELRIN(R) PIVOT BUSHING

CONDITION:
While making a sharp right or left turn, some 1992 Achievas with AR9 bucket seats may exhibit a noisy creaking condition in the driver and front passenger seats (when occupied).

CAUSE:
Friction between the inner front seat back pivot pin and the nylon pivot bushing in the front seat cushion housing.

CORRECTION:





Using the service procedure found in the 1992 Achieva Service Manual Section 10-10 pages 5-7, replace the nylon pivot bushing with a Delrin(R) pivot bushing. The Delrin(R) bushing P/N 16727273 is currently available from GMSPO.
