Battery Tray and Retainer

The battery tray and retainer should be clean and free from corrosion before installing battery.

The tray should be in sound condition, to hold the battery securely and keep it level. Make certain there are no obstructions in the tray before installing the battery.

To prevent the battery from shaking in its tray, the retainer bolt should be tight, but not over tightened.
