58. Camshaft Cover Installation

CAMSHAFT COVER INSTALLATION
(UNIT REPAIR)

INSTALLATION





1. Assemble camshaft cover and gasket, use care to make sure that gasket is located in retaining groove on camshaft cover.
2. Install cover on cylinder head and hand tighten bolts.





3. Install ground strap
Torque:
Camshaft Cover Bolts: 10 Nm (89 inch. lbs.)
Camshaft Cover Ground Strap Bolts: 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.)





4. Install spark plugs
Torque:
Spark Plugs: 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.)





5. Install ignition coil and module assembly to cam cover, and retaining bolts.
Torque:
Ignition Coil-to-Camshaft Cover Bolts: 8 Nm (71 inch lbs.)
6. Install coolant pipe bracket
Torque:
Coolant Pipe Bracket: 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.)
7. Install fuel line bracket
Torque:
Fuel Line Bracket Bolt: 10 Nm ($9 inch lbs.)
