Front Pipe Replacement
Removal Procedure





1. Raise the vehicle on a hoist.
2. Remove the oil pan bracket (2) and bolts (1, 3).





3. Remove the exhaust front pipe to exhaust manifold fasteners.
4. Remove the exhaust front pipe.
5. Remove any remaining gasket material and discard.

Installation Procedure





1. Position the gaskets on the exhaust front pipe.
2. Position the exhaust front pipe into the vehicle.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Install the exhaust front pipe nuts and tighten.
^ Tighten the exhaust manifold pipe-to-resonator bolts to 54 Nm (40 ft. lbs.).





4. Install the oil pan bracket (2) and bolts (1, 3) and tighten.
^ Tighten the bolts to 20 Nm (14 ft. lbs.).
5. Lower the vehicle from the hoist.
6. Start the engine and check for exhaust leaks.
