Timing Belt Removal

^ Tools Required
- EN 46331 Timing Belt Tensioner Pulley Retaining Bolt





Important: The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) has to perform the crankshaft position learn process under the following conditions:
^ The Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor is removed for replacement or during disassembly
^ The timing belt is removed for replacement or during disassembly
^ The CKP Pattern Clear is executed from the Tech II
^ The PCM is replaced

1. Use the EN 46331 to retain the tensioner pulley.





2. Loosen the idler pulley bolt (238) about 5 or 6 turns.





3. Remove the belt (235).
4. Remove the EN 46331.
