Electric Throttle Control System Calibration

NOTE:
After the following procedure, calibrate throttle position.
- Shutoff of ECM power supply (i.e. disconnection of battery cable, replacement of battery or blown ECM fuse)
- Replacement of ECM " Clearance of DTC related to electric throttle control system
- Replacement of throttle body

1. Confirm vehicle condition is as follows.
- DTC other than P2176 is not detected
- Engine: Stop
- Accelerator pedal position: Idle position
- 5 °C < ECT < 85 °C
- 5 °C < IAT < 60 °C
- Battery voltage > 10 V

2. Select calibration procedure from table below.






3. Perform selected calibration procedure as follows.
Calibration procedure [A]
a. Keep ignition switch at ON position for 1 min. or more without running engine.

Calibration procedure [B]
a. Disconnect negative cable from battery, and then disconnect connectors from ECM for 30 sec. or more in order to clear calibration data of closed throttle position from ECM.
b. Connect negative cable to battery.
c. Keep ignition switch at ON position for 1 min. or more without running engine.

4. Clear DTC(s).
