Applicability

TSB SUPERSESSION NOTICE

The information contained in this TSB supersedes TSB No. EL001-08.

^ Applicability has been updated to exclude 2004 model year vehicles.

^ The repair procedure has been updated.

TSB No. EL001-08 is Obsolete and any printed versions should be discarded. Be sure to review the entire content of this service bulletin before proceeding.

Introduction

For vehicles that exhibit Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) BO111 and/or BO116 a new service part has been made available for 2005-2008 model year Sienna vehicles. Please refer to the following enhanced Repair Manual instructions for the proper installation procedure of the new service parts.

NOTE
This TSB is not applicable to 2004 MY Sienna. If you encounter a 2004 MY Sienna with code B01111B0116, diagnose per Repair Manual. If it is determined that the root cause is related to the side squib, the seat back will need to be replaced.








Warranty Information

APPLICABLE WARRANTY

^ This repair is covered under the Toyota Comprehensive Warranty. This warranty is in effect for 60 months or 60,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle's in-service date.

^ Warranty application is limited to correction of a problem based upon a customer's specific complaint.

Airbag Disposal

Please refer to TSB No.SS004-07, "SRS Component Disposal as Hazardous Material Treatment" for proper disposal method of the side airbag assembly.

^ 2005/2006/2007/2008 model year Sienna Repair Manual Vehicle Interior - Supplemental Restraint System - "B0111 Open In Side Squib RH Circuit".

^ 2005/2006/2007/2008 model year Sienna Repair Manual, Vehicle Interior - Supplemental Restraint System - "B0116 Open In Side Squib LH Circuit".

NOTE

If no concern is identified after inspecting the floor harness and the center airbag sensor assembly, please follow the repair procedure below to replace the corresponding side airbag assembly.
