Removal and Installation
REMOVAL1. REMOVE DECK BOARD NO.2 SUB-ASSEMBLY
2. REMOVE REAR FLOOR FINISH PLATE
3. REMOVE BACK DOOR WEATHERSTRIP
4. REMOVE DECK SIDE TRIM BOX RH
5. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH
6. REMOVE REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH
7. REMOVE DECK SIDE TRIM COVER RH
8. REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE PANEL RH ASSEMBLY
9. DISCONNECT HEATER WATER OUTLET HOSE
a. Using pliers, grip the claws of the clip and slide the clip, and disconnect the heater water outlet hose.
NOTE:
- When installing or removing the hoses, hold heater water pipes to prevent deformation.
- Do not apply any excessive force to the heater water outlet hose.
- Prepare a drain pan or cloth in case the cooling water leaks.
10. DISCONNECT HEATER WATER INLET HOSE
HINT: Disconnect the heater water inlet hose in the same way as the heater water outlet hose.
11. REMOVE FOOT AIR DUCT REAR
a. Remove the 2 clips and foot air duct rear.
12. REMOVE AIR DUCT REAR NO.5
a. Disconnect the wire harness clamp.
b. Remove the 2 clips and air duct rear No.5.
13. REMOVE REAR HEATER ASSEMBLY
a. Disconnect the washer hose clamp.
b. Remove the 4 bolts and plate.
c. Disconnect the heater relay No.1 clamp.
d. Disconnect the heater blower resister connector.
e. Remove the 4 bolts and rear heater assembly.
INSTALLATION
1. INSTALL REAR HEATER ASSEMBLY
a. Install the rear heater assembly with the 4 bolts.
Torque: 9.8 N.m (100 kgf.cm, 87 in.lbf)
NOTE: Tighten the bolts in the numerical order shown in the illustration to install the rear heater assembly.
b. Install the heater blower resistor connector.
c. Install the heater relay No.1.
d. Install the washer hose.
e. Install the plate with the 4 bolts.
Torque: Bolt A
9.8 N.m (100 kgf.cm, 87 in.lbf)
2. INSTALL AIR DUCT REAR NO.5
3. INSTALL FOOT AIR DUCT REAR
4. INSTALL HEATER WATER INLET HOSE
5. INSTALL HEATER WATER OUTLET HOSE
6. INSTALL DECK TRIM SIDE PANEL ASSEMBLY RH
7. INSTALL DECK SIDE TRIM COVER RH
8. INSTALL DECK SIDE TRIM COVER FRONT LH
9. INSTALL REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH
10. INSTALL REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH
11. INSTALL DECK SIDE TRIM BOX RH
12. INSTALL BACK DOOR WEATHERSTRIP
13. INSTALL REAR FLOOR FINISH PLATE
14. INSTALL DECK BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY NO.2
