Disassembly and Reassembly

DISASSEMBLY




1. REMOVE WATER PIPE AND HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY
a. Using pliers, grip the claws of the 2 clips and slide the 2 clips, and disconnect the heater water hose.

NOTE: Do not apply any excessive force to the heater water hose.




2. REMOVE REAR HEATER BLOWER RESISTOR
a. Disconnect the 2 clamps and connector.
b. Remove the 2 screws and rear heater blower resistor.




3. REMOVE REAR HEATER UNIT SUB-ASSEMBLY
a. Remove the 9 screws and clamp.




b. Remove the rear heater unit sub-assembly from the heater case.




4. REMOVE REAR HEATER BLOWER FAN SUB-ASSEMBLY
a. Remove the nut and heater blower fan subassembly.
b. Remove the washer.




5. REMOVE REAR HEATER BLOWER MOTOR SUB-ASSEMBLY
a. Disconnect the connector clamp.
b. Remove the 3 screws and heater blower motor subassembly.


REASSEMBLY

1. INSTALL REAR HEATER BLOWER MOTOR SUB-ASSEMBLY




2. INSTALL REAR HEATER BLOWER FAN SUB-ASSEMBLY
a. Install the washer.
b. Install the heater blower fan sub-assembly with the nut.

Torque: 4.0 N.m (42 kgf.cm, 36 in.lbf)

3. INSTALL REAR HEATER UNIT SUB-ASSEMBLY
4. INSTALL REAR HEATER BLOWER RESISTOR
5. INSTALL WATER PIPE AND HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY
