2UZ-FE COOLING: RADIATOR: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL RADIATOR ASSEMBLY





(a) Set the radiator bracket hooks to the radiator support holes.
(b) Install the radiator with the 4 bolts.
Torque: 18 Nm (184 kgf-cm, 13 ft-lbf)
2. INSTALL RADIATOR HOSE OUTLET
3. INSTALL FAN SHROUD
(a) Install the fan pulley to the water pump.
(b) Place the shroud together with the coupling fan between the radiator and engine.
NOTE: Be careful not to damage the radiator core.

(c) Install the fluid coupling fan to the water pump with the 4 nuts. Tighten the nuts as much as possible by hand.





(d) Attach the shroud's claws to the radiator as shown in the illustration.
(e) Install the shroud with the 2 bolts.
Torque: 6.5 Nm (6 kgf-cm, 58 in-lbf)
(f) Connect the reservoir hose to the radiator tank upper.
(g) Install the fan and generator V-belt.





(h) Tighten the 4 nuts of the fluid coupling fan.
Torque: 29 Nm (296 kgf-cm, 21 ft-lbf)
4. INSTALL RADIATOR HOSE INLET
5. INSTALL AIR CLEANER HOSE ASSEMBLY Installation
6. INSTALL OIL COOLER ASSEMBLY (w/ Trailer Towing System)
7. CONNECT NO. 1 OIL COOLER INLET HOSE AND NO. 1 OIL COOLER OUTLET HOSE (w/ Trailer Towing System)





(a) Connect the 2 hoses.
(b) Attach the claw to close the flexible hose clamp.
8. INSTALL RADIATOR SIDE DEFLECTOR RH (w/o Trailer Towing System)





(a) Install the deflector with the 6 clips.
9. INSTALL RADIATOR SIDE DEFLECTOR LH





(a) Install the deflector with the 6 clips.
(b) Install the wire harness clamp.
10. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER COVER (w/ Trailer Towing System)
(a) For resin type, refer to the following procedures Installation.
(b) Except resin type, refer to the following procedures. Installation.
11. ADD ENGINE COOLANT Service and Repair
12. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK Testing and Inspection
13. INSTALL THROTTLE BODY COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation
14. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER Replacement
