B2277 - Detecting Vehicle Submersion

DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when the submersion circuit monitor inside the main body ECU detects that the vehicle has been submerged in water.





INSPECTION PROCEDURE

HINT
Before commencing troubleshooting, check if the main body ECU is wet. If it is, replace the main body ECU.

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK WHETHER DTC OUTPUT RECURS

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the engine switch on (IG) and turn the Techstream on.

(c) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Trouble Codes.

(d) Clear the DTCs.

(e) Check whether DTC B2277 recurs 270 to 330 seconds or more after the engine switch is turned on (IG).

OK:

No DTC is output.

NG -- REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK)
