EXTERIOR: FRONT BUMPER (w/ Under Guard): DISASSEMBLY

1. REMOVE HOOD TO RADIATOR GRILLE SEAL





(a) Remove the 4 clips.

(b) Detach the 9 clips and remove the hood to radiator grille seal.

2. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE SUB-ASSEMBLY





(a) for Type A:

(1) Remove the 3 bolts.

(2) Detach the 24 claws and 4 guides, and remove the radiator grille.





(b) for Type B:

(1) Remove the 3 bolts.

(2) Detach the 20 claws and 4 guides, and remove the radiator grille.

3. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE (OR FRONT PANEL) EMBLEM





(a) Detach the 3 claws and remove the emblem.

4. REMOVE NO. 2 RADIATOR GRILLE EMBLEM (for 2GR-FE)





(a) Remove the 2 screws and retainer.

(b) Detach the claw and remove the emblem.

5. REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 BUMPER SIDE RETAINER LH





(a) Remove the 2 screws and retainer.

6. REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 BUMPER SIDE RETAINER RH

Use the procedure described for the LH side.

7. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ARM EXTENSION LH





(a) Remove the 3 screws.

(b) Using a clip remover, remove the clip.

(c) Detach the 3 claws and remove the arm extension.

8. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ARM EXTENSION RH

Use the procedure described for the LH side.

9. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 BUMPER EXTENSION RETAINER





(a) Remove the 2 retainers.

HINT
Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

10. REMOVE LOWER NO. 2 RADIATOR GRILLE





(a) Remove the 2 screws and 4 bolts.

(b) Detach the 6 claws and remove the lower No. 2 radiator grille.

11. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER BAR





(a) Using a heat light, heat the lower No. 2 radiator grille and bumper bar.

Standard:





NOTICE:
Do not heat the lower No. 2 radiator grille and bumper bar excessively.

(b) Insert a piano wire between the lower No. 2 radiator grille and bumper bar.

(c) Tie objects that can serve as handles (for example, wooden blocks) to both wire ends.

(d) Pull the piano wire and scrape off the double-sided tape that holds the bumper bar to the lower No. 2 radiator grille.

NOTICE:
Be careful not to damage the lower No. 2 radiator grille.

12. REMOVE CENTER RADIATOR GRILLE MOULDING LH





(a) Detach the 3 claws and remove the center radiator grille moulding.

13. REMOVE CENTER RADIATOR GRILLE MOULDING RH

14. REMOVE LOWER RADIATOR GRILLE MOULDING





(a) Detach the 9 claws and remove the lower radiator grille moulding.

15. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER EXTENSION MOUNTING BRACKET





(a) Remove the 2 screws and mounting bracket.

16. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER HOLE COVER LH





(a) Detach the 4 claws and remove the hole cover.

17. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER HOLE COVER RH

18. REMOVE FOG LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH





(a) Remove the screw.

(b) Detach the 2 guides and remove the fog light.

19. REMOVE FOG LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH
