INSPECTION PROCEDURE
PROCEDURE
1. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (INPUT POWER SUPPLY)
(a) Disconnect the G3 switch connector.
(b) Turn the ignition switch ON.
(c) Measure the voltage of the wire harness side connector.
Standard voltage:
NG -- INSPECT FUSE AND REPLACE IT IF NECESSARY, OR INSPECT AND REPAIR WIRE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY (for Front Passenger Side)
(a) Remove the power window regulator switch.
(b) Measure the resistance of the switch when the switch is operated.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY (for Front Passenger Side)
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (REGULATOR SWITCH - REGULATOR MOTOR)
(a) Disconnect the G3 switch connector.
(b) Disconnect the G2 motor connector.
(c) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY (for Front Passenger Side)
(a) Remove the power window regulator motor.
(b) Apply the battery voltage to connector terminals 1 and 2.
NOTICE:
Do not apply the battery voltage to any terminals except terminals 1 and 2.
(c) Check that the motor gear rotates smoothly as follows.
OK:
NG -- REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY (for Front Passenger Side)
OK -- Continue to next step.
5. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (MASTER SWITCH - REGULATOR SWITCH)
(a) Disconnect the H2 switch connector.
(b) Disconnect the G3 switch connector.
(c) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY
