Checking color deviations, RTI Display
A problem that seems to be a color variation up at the right hand corner of the screen is not a color variation and not a pixel problem. This affects the background design which was launched 200620 for all DVD and HDD systems. Even vehicles manufactured before 200620 may have obtained this software via an update. Changing the RTI screen does not change the background design because the design is implemented in the software. The background design does not affect the navigation system's technical function.
To rectify the problem, new software must be installed. Software with a new background design has been introduced and launched 200822. The software is not downloaded from PIE but installed via CD ROM or DVD ROM, depending on the system.
