Normal Operation
The audio unit sends audio signals to the audio amplifier, which amplifies the signals and sends them to the speakers. When the key is turned to START, the audio unit receives voltage on circuit 1000 (RD/BK). When the audio unit receives this voltage, it mutes the speakers to avoid a popping sound when the key is cycled. The audio amplifier receives voltage through circuit 828 (VT/LB), and ground through circuit 57 (BK).
Possible Causes
- Fuse
- Circuit 57 (BK) open
- Circuit 828 (VT/LB) open
- Circuit 1000 (RD/BK) short to voltage
- Audio amplifier
- Audio unit
