Test Q: The Speed Control Indicator Is Never/Always On

PINPOINT TEST Q: THE SPEED CONTROL INDICATOR IS NEVER/ALWAYS ON

Normal Operation
The instrument cluster (IC) receives the speed control status from the SJB over the high speed controller area network (HS-CAN) communication bus. When the speed control has been engaged, the SJB sends a message to the instrument cluster (IC) to illuminate the speed control indicator. The instrument cluster (IC) sets DTC U0100 in continuous memory if the speed control message is missing for more than 5 seconds and the instrument cluster (IC) turns off speed control indicator.

This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:
- PCM
- Instrument cluster (IC)
