Front Passenger's Airbag Cutoff Indicator Removal and Installation
Removal
NOTE:
* SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations Locations and the precautions and procedures Service and Repair before doing repairs or service.
1. Battery Terminal (SRS) - Disconnection
1. Make sure the ignition switch is in LOCK (0).
2. Disconnect and isolate the negative cable (A) from the battery.
NOTE: Always disconnect the negative side first.
3. Disconnect the positive cable (B) from the battery.
4. Wait at least 3 minutes before starting work.
2. Inner Vent - Both Sides
1. Carefully pry out the inner vents (A) with the appropriate trim tool to detach the clips (B), then remove the inner vents.
3. Audio-Navigation Unit Assembly (With Navigation)

NOTE:
* Eject the discs before removing the audio-navigation unit to prevent damaging the CD/DVD player's load mechanism.
* If you are replacing the audio-navigation unit, write down the audio presets (if possible), then enter them into the new audio-navigation unit.
* If the audio-navigation unit is replaced or disconnected, Map Matching must be done.
* Lay a shop towel under the parts when working on them to protect the face panel from scratches or other damage.
* Do not work in a dusty or dirty place.
* Discharge static electricity from your body before and during the work.
* Do not touch the circuit board(s) with your bare hands.
* Do not work with dirty hands.
* Do not touch the terminal connector of the flat plate cable with your bare hands (If you have touched it, wipe it off thoroughly.).
1. Remove the bolts.
2. Disconnect the connectors, then pull out the audio-navigation unit (A).
4. Audio Unit Assembly (Without Navigation)
NOTE:
* Eject the CD before disconnecting the audio unit to prevent damaging the CD player's load mechanism.
* If you are replacing the audio unit, write down the audio presets (if possible), and enter them into the new audio unit.
* Lay a shop towel under the parts when working on them to protect the face panel from scratches or other damage.
* Do not work in a dusty or dirty place.
* Discharge static electricity from your body before and during the work.
* Do not touch the circuit board(s) with your bare hands.

5. Dashboard Center Display Visor Assembly
1. Remove the dashboard center display visor (A).
6. Multi-Information Display Unit Assembly (For Some Model)
1. Remove the multi-information display unit assembly (A).
2. Disconnect the connectors from the multi-information display unit.
7. Center Display Unit Assembly (For Some Model)
1. Remove the center display unit assembly (A).
2. Disconnect the connectors.
8. Front Passenger's Airbag Cutoff Indicator
1. Remove the front passenger's airbag cutoff indicator (A).
Installation
NOTE:
* SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations Locations and the precautions and procedures Service and Repair before doing repairs or service.
1. Front Passenger's Airbag Cutoff Indicator
1. Install the front passenger's airbag cutoff indicator (A).
2. Multi-Information Display Unit (For Some Model)
1. Connect the connectors.
2. Install the multi-information display unit assembly (A).
NOTE: If you see the In Line Diag screen when it is turned on, refer to In Line Diag (i-MID) under Display Diagnosis to complete the diagnosis.
3. Center Display Unit Assembly (For Some Model)
1. Connect the connectors.
2. Install the center display unit assembly (A).
4. Dashboard Center Display Visor Assembly
1. Install the dashboard center display visor (A).
5. Audio Unit Assembly (Without Navigation)
1. Connect the connectors, then install the audio unit (A).
NOTE: Make sure all the connectors and the antenna lead are secure.
2. Install the bolts (B).
NOTE: If the audio unit was replaced, enter the audio presets that you saved onto the new unit.
6. Navigation Unit Assembly (With Navigation)

1. Connect the connectors, then install the audio-navigation unit (A).
NOTE: Make sure all the connectors and the antenna lead are secure.
2. Install the bolts (B).
7. Inner Vent - Both Sides
1. Install the inner vents (A). Make sure the clips (B) snap into place securely.
8. Battery Terminal (SRS) - Reconnection
NOTE: If the battery performance is abnormal, test the battery.
1. Clean the battery terminals.
2. Connect the positive cable (A) to the battery.
NOTE: Always connect the positive side first.
3. Connect the negative cable (B) to the battery.
4. Apply multipurpose grease to the terminals to prevent corrosion.
9. HDS DLC - Connection
1. Connect the HDS to the data link connector (DLC) (A) located under the driver's side of the dashboard.
2. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
3. Make sure the HDS communicates with the vehicle. If it does not communicate, go to the DLC circuit troubleshooting.
10. DTC - Clear
1. Clear the DTC(s) by following the screen prompts on the HDS.
2. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), then wait for 10 seconds.
11. Confirm Proper SRS Operation
1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II), and check that the SRS indicator comes on for about 6 seconds and then goes off.
