Audio-Navigation Unit Removal/Installation

NOTE:

- Put on gloves to protect your hands.
- Take care not to scratch the dashboard and related parts.
- Lay a shop towel under the parts when working on them to protect the face panel from scratches or other damage.
- Eject the discs before removing the audio-navigation unit to prevent damaging the CD/DVD player's load mechanism.
- If you are replacing the audio-navigation unit, write down the audio presets (if possible), then enter them into the new audio-navigation unit.
- There are three different audio-navigation unit trim levels:
- With rear entertainment Ultrawide RES type
- With rear entertainment RES type
- Without rear entertainment
If you are substituting a known-good audio-navigation unit (with HDD), you must substitute the same trim level. For example, if the vehicle has rear entertainment Ultrawide RES type, use a known-good audio-navigation unit for vehicles with rear entertainment Ultrawide RES type. If you use the wrong audio-navigation unit, it may cause a diagnosis error.

- If the audio-navigation unit is replaced or disconnected, a Map Matching must be done.
- Make sure you have the 5-digit anti-theft code.
