Third Row Seat-Back Recline Cable Replacement

Special Tools Required

- KTC Trim Tool Set SOJATP2014

Seat-Back

NOTE:

- Put on gloves to protect your hands.
- Take care not to tear or damage the seat covers.
- Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to avoid damage when removing components.

1. Remove the third row seat Third Row Seat Removal/Installation.

2. Remove the third row seat-back cover Third Row Seat-Back Cover Replacement.

3. Remove the third row seat cushion cover Third Row Seat Cushion Cover Replacement.

4. Remove the seat-back link unit (A).

1. Detach the cable clip (B), then remove the bolts.

2. Disconnect the lock release cables (C) and recline cable (D) from the seat-back link unit.

3. Release the lock release strap (E) out through the seat-back frame.

5. If necessary, release the lock release strap (A) by releasing the push nut (B) and the washer (C) from the seat-back link unit.

NOTE: Replace the push nut you removed with a new one.






6. Release the cable clips (A), and remove the screw, then remove the seat-back lever cover (B).






7. If necessary, release the lock release strap (A) from the seat-back lever (B).






8. Remove the lock release cables (A) and the recline cable (B).

1. Disconnect the lock release cables and the recline cable from the seat-back frame.

2. Release the wire ties (C) and detach the cable clips (D).

9. Install the cables in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:

- Make sure each cable is connected securely.
- Make sure the third row seat latches and unlatches properly.

Seat Cushion

NOTE:

- Put on gloves to protect your hands.

- Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to avoid damage when removing components.

1. Remove the third row seat Third Row Seat Removal/Installation.

2. Remove the third row seat-back cover Third Row Seat-Back Cover Replacement.

3. Remove the third row seat cushion cover Third Row Seat Cushion Cover Replacement.

4. Remove the screws.

NOTE: The left third row seat is shown; the right third row seat is similar.






5. Remove the recline cable (A).

1. Release the wire ties (B) and detach the cable clip (C).

2. Disconnect the cable by releasing the push nut (D).

NOTE: Replace the push nut you removed with a new one.

6. Remove the pivot bolt (A) from the center pivot bracket (B).

NOTE: The left third row seat is shown; the right third row seat is similar.






7. Remove the recline cable (A) from the seat cushion link unit (B).

1. Remove the bolts.

2. Disconnect the cable by releasing the push nut (C).

NOTE: Replace the push nut you removed with a new one.

8. Install the cables in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:

- Make sure each cable is connected securely.
- Make sure the third row seat latches and unlatches properly.
