FRONT SEAT BELT


SEAT BELT RETRACTOR : Removal and Installation


REMOVAL

CAUTION:
Before servicing SRS, turn the ignition switch OFF, disconnect the battery negative terminal, and wait at least 3 minutes.

REMOVAL
1. Remove the outer anchor.
- Remove the outer anchor cover.
- Remove the seat belt anchor fixing anchor bolt.
2. Remove the shoulder anchor.
- Remove the center pillar upper and lower garnish. Refer to Body Side Trim.
- Remove the shoulder anchor fixing anchor nut.
3. Remove the seat belt assembly.
- Disconnect the seat belt pre-tensioner connector and pre-crash seat belt connector.

NOTE:
- For installing/removing seat belt pre-tensioner connector, insert thin screwdriver wrapped in tape into notch, lift lock and remove connector.





- Install connector with lock raised, and push lock into connector.
- After installing the connector, check that the lock is pushed securely into it.
- Remove the pretensioner seat retractor fixing bolt and anchor bolt.
4. Remove the seat belt adjuster.
Remove the seat belt adjuster fixing bolts.

INSTALLATION
Install in the reverse order of removal.
