Removal








ENGINE HOOD / DOOR: HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY: REMOVAL

REMOVAL

1. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY

2. REMOVE BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER LH Battery

3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
NOTICE:
- After the power switch is turned OFF, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the power switch OFF, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
- When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.

4. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH Removal

5. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH Removal

6. REMOVE AIR CLEANER INLET COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

7. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL Removal

8. REMOVE FRONT UPPER FENDER PROTECTOR LH






(a) Using a screwdriver, detach the 3 clips and remove the fender protector.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

9. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE ASSEMBLY Removal

10. REMOVE MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY
11. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE COVER






(a) Remove the 3 screws.
(b) Detach the claw and remove the cable cover.
12. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY






(a) Remove the cap.
(b) Remove the 2 bolts and nut.
(c) Remove the hood lock.
(d) Disconnect the hood lock control cable.
13. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY






(a) Detach the 2 claws.
(b) Disconnect the hood lock control cable and remove the hood lock lever.
14. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY





(a) Using a screwdriver, disconnect the clamps shown in the illustration.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

(b) Pull the cable from the engine room and remove it.
