Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Solenoid Valve Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Disconnect the evaporative emission (EVAP) canister purge valve electrical connector.
2. Disconnect the EVAP canister purge pipe from the EVAP canister purge valve. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service.
3. Remove the EVAP canister purge valve bolt.
4. Remove the EVAP canister purge valve from the intake manifold.

Installation Procedure




1. Position the EVAP canister purge valve to the intake manifold.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.

2. Install the EVAP canister purge valve bolt.

Tighten the bolt to 10 Nm (89 lb in).

3. Connect the EVAP canister purge pipe to the EVAP canister purge valve. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service.
4. Connect the EVAP canister purge valve electrical connector.
