Water Pump: Service and Repair

WATER PUMP REPLACEMENT- L81

REMOVAL





1. Drain coolant.





2. Remove front timing belt cover.





3. Remove water pump assembly bolts.
4. Remove water pump and O-ring.

INSTALLATION





1. Clean and block at water pump mating surface.
2. Install new water pump O-seal to water pump.
3. Install water pump assembly.
4. Install water pump bolts.
Torque:
Water Pump Bolts - 6-Cyl: 25 N.m (18 lb ft)





5. Install front timing belt cover.





6. Fill coolant.
