B2342 - Switch Failure

DESCRIPTION

This DTC is output when the roof sunshade ECU (sliding roof drive gear assembly) detects that the roof sunshade switch is stuck for 30 seconds or more.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
* Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.
* When the roof sunshade ECU (sliding roof drive gear assembly) is replaced or removed and reinstalled, it requires initialization Initialization.

PROCEDURE

1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (ROOF SUNSHADE SWITCH)

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the power switch on (IG).

(c) Turn the Techstream on.

(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Sliding Roof / Data List.

(e) Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream.

Sliding Roof (Roof Sunshade ECU (Sliding Roof Drive Gear Assembly))





OK:

"OFF" appears on the Techstream screen.

NG -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ROOF SUNSHADE ECU - BODY GROUND)

OK -- REPLACE ROOF SUNSHADE ECU (SLIDING ROOF DRIVE GEAR ASSEMBLY) Removal

2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ROOF SUNSHADE ECU - BODY GROUND)

(a) Disconnect the z21 roof sunshade ECU (sliding roof drive gear assembly) connector.

(b) Disconnect the U3 roof sunshade switch (map light assembly) connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. INSPECT ROOF SUNSHADE SWITCH (MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY)

(a) Remove the roof sunshade switch (map light assembly) Removal.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:
