INTERIOR PANELS / TRIM: ROOF HEADLINING: REMOVAL
1. REMOVE DECK BOARD ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the deck board assembly.
2. REMOVE NO. 1 DECK BOARD
(a) Remove the No. 1 deck board.
3. REMOVE NO. 2 DECK BOARD
(a) Remove the No. 2 deck board.
4. REMOVE REAR DECK FLOOR BOX
(a) Remove the rear deck floor box.
5. REMOVE DECK FLOOR BOX RH
(a) Disengage the 3 claws and remove the deck floor box RH.
6. REMOVE TONNEAU COVER ASSEMBLY (w/ Tonneau Cover)
(a) Remove the tonneau cover assembly.
7. REMOVE FRONT DECK FLOOR BOX
(a) Remove the front deck floor box.
8. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 FLOOR BOARD
(a) Remove the bolt.
(b) Disengage the 3 claw and 4 guides, and remove the rear No. 1 floor board.
9. REMOVE BACK DOOR SCUFF PLATE
(a) Disengage the 2 claws, 4 clips and 2 guides and remove the back door scuff plate.
10. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH
(a) Disengage the 10 claws and remove the front door scuff plate LH.
11. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Remove the clip.
(b) Disengage the 2 clips and remove the cowl side trim sub-assembly LH.
12. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH
(a) Remove the front door opening trim weatherstrip LH.
13. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH
(a) Pull the upper part of the garnish toward the inside of the cabin and disengage the garnish from the base of the 2 clips.

HINT
Make the front pillar garnish LH hang down from the front pillar garnish clip.
(b) Turn the front pillar garnish clip 90° with needle-nosed pliers and remove it from the front pillar garnish LH.
NOTICE:
* Front pillar garnish clips are reusable if they are not removed from the vehicle and have no damage.
* Replace the front pillar garnish clips with new ones if they are removed from the vehicle.
HINT
Tape the tip of needle-nosed pliers before use.
(c) Disengage the 2 guides (A).
(d) Disengage the guide (B) while pressing the shaded part in the illustration in the direction indicated by the arrow (2).
(e) Remove the front pillar garnish LH by pulling it in the direction indicated by the arrow (3) in the illustration.
(f) Protect the curtain shield airbag assembly.

(1) Cover the airbag with a cloth or piece of nylon and secure the ends of the cover with tape as shown in the illustration.
NOTICE:
Cover the curtain shield airbag with a protective cover as soon as the front pillar garnish is removed.
14. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH
(a) Move the rear seat assembly LH to the foremost position.
(b) Disengage the 9 claws and 3 clips, and remove the rear door scuff plate LH.
15. REMOVE REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH
(a) Remove the rear door opening trim weatherstrip LH.
16. REMOVE LAP BELT OUTER ANCHOR COVER (for LH Side) Removal
17. DISCONNECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH Removal
18. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR LOWER GARNISH LH
(a) Disengage the 4 claws and 2 clips, and remove the center pillar lower garnish LH.
19. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR GARNISH LH
(a) Remove the bolt.
(b) Disengage the 2 clips.
(c) Pass the floor anchor of the front seat outer seat belt assembly LH through the center pillar garnish LH and remove the center pillar garnish LH.
20. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH

Use the same procedure as for the LH side.
21. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

Use the same procedure as for the LH side.
22. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH

Use the same procedure as for the LH side.
23. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH RH

27. DISCONNECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH

28. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR LOWER GARNISH RH

30. REMOVE LUGGAGE HOLD BELT STRIKER ASSEMBLY (for LH Side)
(a) Remove the 2 bolts.
(b) Disengage the 2 guides and remove the 2 luggage hold belt striker assemblies.
31. REMOVE FRONT DECK SIDE TRIM COVER LH
(a) Using a moulding remover, disengage the 2 claws.
(b) Disengage the 2 guides and remove the front deck side trim cover LH.
32. DISCONNECT REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH Removal
33. REMOVE NO. 2 ROOM LIGHT ASSEMBLY Removal
34. REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE PANEL ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Remove the 2 bolts.
(b) Disengage the 7 claws and 5 clips, and remove the deck trim side panel assembly LH.
35. REMOVE ROOF SIDE INNER GARNISH ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Using a moulding remover, disengage the 2 claws and 2 guides, and disconnect the belt guide LH.
(b) Pull the roof side inner garnish assembly LH in the direction indicated by the arrow (1) shown in the illustration to disengage the 7 clips (A).
(c) Pull the roof side inner garnish assembly in the direction indicated by the arrow (2) shown in the illustration to disengage the 3 clips (B) and remove the roof side inner garnish assembly LH and rear roof side rail garnish as a unit.
36. REMOVE REAR ROOF SIDE RAIL GARNISH LH
(a) Disengage the 4 claws and guide, and remove the rear roof side rail garnish LH.
37. REMOVE LUGGAGE HOLD BELT STRIKER ASSEMBLY (for RH Side)

Use the same procedure as for the LH side.
38. REMOVE FRONT DECK SIDE TRIM COVER RH

Use the same procedure as for the LH side.
39. REMOVE REAR DECK TRIM COVER
(a) Using a moulding remover, disengage the 6 claws.
(b) Disconnect the connector and remove the rear deck trim cover.
40. DISCONNECT REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH

Use the same procedure as for the LH side.
41. REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE PANEL ASSEMBLY RH

42. REMOVE ROOF SIDE INNER GARNISH ASSEMBLY RH

44. REMOVE INNER REAR VIEW MIRROR COVER (w/ EC Mirror) Removal

48. REMOVE SEAT BELT ANCHOR COVER
(a) Using a moulding remover, disengage the 2 clips as shown in the illustration.
(b) Disengage the 2 claws and 2 guides, and remove the seat belt anchor cover.
49. REMOVE FRONT ASSIST GRIP ASSEMBLY
(a) Using a clip remover, disengage the 4 claws.

NOTICE:
Do not forcibly pry the assist grip covers to prevent them from being deformed.
HINT
* Gently pry on the assist grip covers as shown in the illustration to remove them.
* Tape the clip remover tip before use.
(b) Pull off the 2 assist grip covers by hand.
(c) Disengage the 2 clips and remove the front assist grip assembly.
(d) Remove the 2 clips from the vehicle body.
HINT
Use the same procedure for the other front assist grip assembly.
50. REMOVE REAR ASSIST GRIP ASSEMBLY
(a) Using a clip remover, disengage the 4 claws.

NOTICE:
Do not forcibly pry the assist grip covers to prevent them from being deformed.
HINT
* Gently pry on the assist grip covers as shown in the illustration to remove them.
* Tape the clip remover tip before use.
(b) Pull off the 2 assist grip covers by hand.
(c) Disengage the 2 clips and remove the rear assist grip assembly.
(d) Remove the 2 clips from the vehicle body.
HINT
Use the same procedure for the other rear assist grip assembly.
51. REMOVE VISOR BRACKET COVER LH
(a) Using a moulding remover, disengage the 3 claws and remove the visor bracket cover LH.
52. REMOVE VISOR BRACKET COVER RH
HINT
Use the same procedure as for the LH side.
53. REMOVE VISOR ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Disengage the 2 clips and remove the visor assembly LH.
54. REMOVE VISOR ASSEMBLY RH
HINT
Use the same procedure as for the LH side.
55. REMOVE VISOR HOLDER
(a) Turn the visor holder approximately 45° and pull it out as shown in the illustration.
(b) Disengage the 2 claws and remove the visor holder.
HINT
Use the same procedure for the other visor holder.
56. DISCONNECT ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY (for Standard Roof)
(a) Remove the protective cover from the front pillar.

(b) w/o EC Mirror:
(1) Disengage the 3 clamps and disconnect the connector from the front pillar LH.
(c) w/ EC Mirror:
(1) Disconnect the inner rear view mirror connector.
(2) Disengage the 3 clamps and disconnect the 2 connectors from the front pillar LH.
(d) w/o Satellite Radio:
(1) Disengage the 3 clamps and disconnect the connector from the front pillar RH.
(2) Disengage the claw and disconnect the connector from the rear pillar RH.
(e) w/ Satellite Radio:
(1) Disengage the 3 clamps and disconnect the 2 connectors from the front pillar RH.
(2) Disengage the claw and clamp, and disconnect the 2 connectors from the rear pillar RH.
(f) Install the protective cover to the front pillar.
(g) Remove the 5 clips and temporarily set down the roof headlining assembly in the cabin.
57. DISCONNECT ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY (for Glass Roof)
(a) Remove the protective cover from the front pillar.

(b) w/o EC Mirror:
(1) Disengage the 3 clamps and disconnect the connector from the front pillar LH.
(c) w/ EC Mirror:
(1) Disconnect the inner rear view mirror connector.
(2) Disengage the 3 clamps and disconnect the 2 connectors from the front pillar LH.
(d) w/o Satellite Radio:
(1) Disengage the 3 clamps and disconnect the connector from the front pillar RH.
(2) Disengage the claw and disconnect the connector from the rear pillar RH.
(e) w/ Satellite Radio:
(1) Disengage the 3 clamps and disconnect the 2 connectors from the front pillar RH.
(2) Disengage the claw and clamp, and disconnect the 2 connectors from the rear pillar RH.
(f) Install the protective cover to the front pillar.
(g) Remove the 3 clips.
(h) Disengage the 15 fasteners and temporarily set down the roof headlining assembly in the cabin.
58. REMOVE WINDSHIELD GLASS

59. REMOVE ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the roof headlining assembly through the front of the vehicle.
NOTICE:
Do not damage the roof headlining assembly or body interior.
