SEAT: FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY: REMOVAL

1. PRECAUTION

CAUTION:
* Be sure to read Precaution thoroughly before servicing Service Precautions.
* If the side airbag was deployed, replace the front seat airbag assembly, separate type front seatback spring assembly, separate type front seatback cover and separate type front seatback pad with the necessary parts in accordance with the extent of the collision damage.
NOTICE:
After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work Service Precautions.

2. REMOVE DECK BOARD ASSEMBLY Removal

3. REMOVE NO. 1 DECK BOARD Removal

4. REMOVE NO. 2 DECK BOARD Removal

5. REMOVE REAR DECK FLOOR BOX Removal

6. REMOVE DECK FLOOR BOX RH Removal

7. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.

8. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY

9. REMOVE FRONT INNER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER

(a) Lift up the seat track adjusting handle and move the seat to the rearmost position.

(b) Disengage the 2 claws and remove the front inner seat track bracket cover.





10. REMOVE FRONT OUTER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER

(a) Disengage the 2 claws and remove the front outer seat track bracket cover.





11. REMOVE REAR INNER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER

(a) Lift up the seat track adjusting handle and move the seat to the foremost position.

(b) Disengage the claw.





(c) Disengage the guide and remove the rear inner seat track bracket cover.

12. REMOVE REAR OUTER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER

(a) Disengage the 2 claws and remove the rear outer seat track bracket cover.





13. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 2 bolts on the rear side of the seat.





(b) Lift up the seat track adjusting handle and move the seat to the rearmost position.

(c) Remove the 2 bolts on the front side of the seat.





(d) Lift up the seat track adjusting handle and move the seat to the center position. Also, operate the reclining adjuster release handle and move the seatback to the upright position.

(e) Operate the vertical adjusting handle to move the seat cushion to the upper position.

(f) Disconnect each connector and clamp under the seat.

(g) Remove the front seat assembly.
