Navigation System: Service and Repair

DVD-ROM Replacement

NOTE:

- When the DVD-ROM is re-inserted or replaced, a map match must be done. This system uses a white labeled DVD (possibly gray for Canada).
- Check any official Honda service website for more service information about the navigation system and software updates.
- Do not replace, the navigation DVD to give a client a preview of an updated navigation DVD.

1. Remove the access panel (A) from the passenger's side of the center console.

2. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).

3. Push the open button (B) located on the right side of the navigation unit.

4. Press the EJECT button (C).

5. Remove the navigation DVD.

6. Insert the new navigation DVD with the white label facing up.

7. Close the front cover. Do not turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0); watch the navigation screen until the data is down loaded to the navigation unit.

8. Do the Map Matching.

NOTE: After servicing, the front cover and the PC card slot door must be closed. If you start up the navigation system with the front cover or the PC card slot door open, the display will indicate an error message.
