Center Console Removal/Installation

Special Tools Required

- KTC Trim Tool Set SOJATP2014
*Available through the Acura Tool and Equipment Program; 888-424-6857

NOTE:

- Put on gloves to protect your hands.
- Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to avoid damage when removing components.
- Take care not to scratch the center console, the dashboard, or the related parts.

1. Pull up the A/T gear position indicator panel (A) to release the hooks (B).






2. Remove the driver's console trim (A) and the passenger's console trim (B).

1. Pull up on the rear portion of the trim by hand to detach the clips (C).

2. Pull up the trim by hand to detach the clips (D) from the dashboard, then remove it.





3. Open the armrest (A), then pull up the center console panel (B) to detach the clips.






Audio pocket removal

4. If necessary remove the audio pocket (A) from the dashboard.

1. Remove the screws.

2. Pull out the audio pocket, and disconnect the front accessory power socket connector (B), the driver's seat heater switch connector (C) and the front passenger's seat heater switch connector (D).

3. Remove the pocket by pushing it to the left.





5. Remove the screw (A) and the clip (B), then pull out the driver's console cover (C) to detach the clips (D), and release the hook (E). Release the Velcro fastener (F) and the hooks (G), then remove the cover.






6. Pull out the passenger's console cover (A) to detach the clips, release the hooks (B), and pull it backward to release the pin (C) from the passenger's dashboard undercover, then remove it.






7. Remove the center console (A):

1. Disconnect the console accessory power socket connector (B), the console box light bulb socket (C), and the USB subcord connector (D).

2. Remove the bolts of the console.

3. Lift the rear of the console, then detach the clips by pulling the console backward to remove it.





8. Install the center console in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:

- If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones.
- Push the clips, the hooks, and the Velcro fastener into place securely.
- Make sure each connector is plugged in properly.
