To pinpoint the noise source while the car is parked:
^ Set the handbrake.
^ Start the car.
^ Put it in a forward gear.
^ Have an assistant stand in back of the car and try to rock it back and forth and up and down.

Front Lower Door Panel Squeaks
Symptom: Squeaks heard from lower-front part of the door, during starting, acceleration, deceleration, or when changing lanes.
Source: Friction between the door panel and the hinge stiffener.
Corrective Action: Remove the door checker pin and the plastic cover. With the door fully opened, inject 3M Hood Flutter Repair Adhesive (3M P/N 08105) between the door panel and the hinge stiffener.

Corrective Action: Remove the door checker pin and, with the door fully opened, use a plastic hammer to drive, the checker bracket forward. Move the front pillar drain tube about 1 mm to eliminate friction.

Front Door Hinge Squeaks
Symptom: Squeaks during acceleration from a stop, during driving or when changing lanes.
Source: Friction between the door hinge pressure-fit collar and pin.
NOTE: If the noise is not reproduced within five tries, take the car on a test drive.
Corrective Action: Pull out the door checker pin and with the door opened fully, remove the hinge clip and pin. Rotate the pin about 90 degrees, apply a multi-purpose grease, and reassemble.
