Heating and Air Conditioning: Service and Repair

The refrigerant must be discharged and recovered using Vehicle Refrigerant Recovery and Recycling Equipment (VRRRE) No. J-39500 or equivalent, before removing or installing A/C components.

1. Connect high and low charging hoses to vehicle.
2. Recover refrigerant by following VRRRE manufacturer's instructions.
3. When a component is removed, place a cap or a plug on connecting portion, to prevent ingestion of dust, dirt or moisture into system.
