Ignition Control Module: Service and Repair












IGNITION CONTROL MODULE (ICM)

Removal Procedure
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the bolt from the upper intake manifold.
3. Remove the ground wire from the upper intake manifold.
4. Disconnect the three electrical connectors from the ignition control module.
5. Remove the two hold-down bolts from the upper intake manifold.
6. Remove the ignition control module from the upper intake manifold.

Installation Procedure
1. Install the ignition control module on the upper intake manifold.
2. Install the two hold-down bolts on the upper intake manifold.
3. Connect the three electrical connectors on the ignition control module.
4. Install the ground wire on the upper intake manifold.
5. Install the ground wire bolt on the upper intake manifold.
6. Install the negative battery cable.
