DTC Troubleshooting: B1013, B1015

DTC B1013: MICU Lost Communication with Driver's MPCS Unit (ASLOCKSW Message)

DTC B1015: MICU Lost Communication with Driver's MPCS Unit (DRLOCKSW Message)

NOTE: If you are troubleshooting multiple DTCs, be sure to follow the instructions in B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A. Troubleshooting - B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A

1. Clear the DTCs with the HDS.

2. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0) and then back ON (II).

3. Wait for more than 6 seconds.

4. Check for DTCs with the HDS.

Is DTC B1013 and/or B1015 indicated?
YES - Go to step 5.

NO - Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for loose or poor connections between the MICU and the driver's MPCS unit.


5. Check for DTCs with the HDS.

Are DTCs B1065, B1082, B1356, B1358, and/or B1905 also indicated with B1013 and/or B1015?
YES - Do the driver's MPCS unit input test. Power Windows Driver's MPCS Unit Input Test

NO - Do the MICU input test. Multiplex Integrated Control System MICU Input Test
