NOTE:
- Check the vehicle battery condition first Testing and Inspection.
- Before you troubleshoot, make sure to follow the general troubleshooting information How to Troubleshoot the Navigation System.
1. Clear the hard error cord How to Troubleshoot the Navigation System.
2. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0) and then back to ON (II).
3. Check the Error History How to Troubleshoot the Navigation System.
Is Hard Error 2601 indicated at the time you cycled the vehicle?
YES -
Do the DTC 2601 troubleshooting 2601.
NO -
Go to step 4.
4. Go into the Diagnostic Menu, and select the Self-Diagnosis Mode in the Select Diagnosis Items menu Navigation System Diagnostic Mode.
5. Check the System Links.
Is the XM (HIP) icon red?
YES -
Go to step 6.
NO -
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.�
6. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
7. Check for poor connections or loose terminals at these items:
- Navigation display unit 28P connector
- AcuraLink control unit (XM receiver) connector A (32P) and B (2P)
Are there connections OK?
YES -
Go to step 8.
NO -
Repair poor connections or loose terminals.�
8. Disconnect these items:
- AcuraLink control unit (XM receiver) connector A (32P)
- Navigation display unit 28P connector
- Audio unit connector B (14P)
- USB adapter unit connector A (14P)
- HandsFreeLink control unit 28P connector
9. Connect the AcuraLink control unit (XM receiver) connector A (32P) terminals No. 30 and No. 31 with a jumper wire.
10. Check for continuity between navigation display unit 28P connector terminals No. 3 and No.17.
Is there continuity?
YES -
Do the AcuraLink control unit (XM receiver) troubleshooting.�
NO -
There is an open in the wire(s) between the navigation display unit and the AcuraLink control unit (XM receiver). Replace the affected shielded harness.�
