The HFL digits do not go away from the audio-HVAC subdisplay after pressing the HFL BACK button

NOTE:

Before doing this troubleshooting, refer to General Troubleshooting Information Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview to make sure the phone is compatible and configured correctly. You can also check Online at www.acura.com/handsfreelink, or call the HFL support desk at 888-528-7876.

1. Connect the HDS to the DLC Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview.

2. Clear the DTCs with the HDS.

3. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0) and then back to ON (II).

4. Check for DTCs with the HDS.

Are there any DTCs indicated?

YES -

Repair the indicated DTCs.�

NO -

Go to step 5.

5. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).

6. Substitute a known-good HandsFreeLink control unit Service and Repair.

7. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II) and check the audio-HVAC subdisplay unit (with navigation system) or audio-HVAC display unit (without navigation system).

Are the messages cleared?

YES -

Replace the original HandsFreeLink control unit Service and Repair.�

NO -

Replace the audio-HVAC subdisplay unit (with navigation system) Audio-HVAC Subdisplay Unit Removal/Installation or the audio-HVAC display unit (without navigation system) Audio-HVAC Display Unit Removal/Installation (Without Navigation System).�
