Audio System Symptom Troubleshooting - Error code: XM ANTENNA is displayed
Error code: XM ANTENNA is displayed (with AcuraLink)
NOTE:
- Check the vehicle battery condition first Testing and Inspection.
- Check the connectors for poor connections or loose terminals.
- Check XM radio reception in an open area. Poor reception/interference can be caused by tall buildings, mountains, or high-voltage power lines.
1. Check the connector at the AcuraLink control unit connector C (2P) (XM receiver).
Is the connector connected?
YES -
Go to step 2.
NO -
Reconnect the connector (s). If the error message does not go away, go to step 2.
2. Check the connector at the AM/FM/XM antenna Diagrams.
Is the connector connected?
YES -
Go to step 4.
NO -
Reconnect the connector. If the error message does not go away, go to step 4.
3. Check for other XM error codes Audio System Error Codes.
Are there other XM error codes displayed?
YES -
Go to error codes Audio System Error Codes.
NO -
Go to step 4.
4. Substitute a known-good AM/FM/XM antenna Diagrams.
Is the error message gone?
YES -
Replace the original AM/FM/XM antenna Diagrams.�
NO -
Go to step 5.
5. Substitute a known-good AcuraLink control unit (XM receiver) AcuraLink Control Unit-XM Receiver Removal/Installation.
Is the error message gone?
YES -
Update the AcuraLink control unit AcuraLink Control Unit Update if it does not have the latest software, then recheck. If the software is the latest, substitute a known-good AM/FM/XM antenna lead. If the symptom/indication is still present, replace the original AcuraLink control unit (XM receiver) AcuraLink Control Unit-XM Receiver Removal/Installation.�
NO -
Replace the XM antenna sublead.�
