Engine Oil Pan Removal




Engine Oil Pan Removal

1. If the engine is already out of the vehicle, go to step 13.

2. Disconnect the vacuum hose (A) and remove the, front engine mount stop (B), then remove the front engine mount bolt (C).






3. Raise the vehicle on the lift.

4. Remove the left front wheel.

5. Remove the splash shield. Engine Removal

6. Drain the engine oil. Service and Repair

7. Remove the left side damper fork. Front Lower Arm Removal/Installation

8. Separate the left side knuckle from the lower arm. Front Lower Arm Removal/Installation

9. Remove the left side driveshaft. Driveshaft Removal Coat all precision-finished surface with new engine oil. Tie a plastic bag over the driveshaft end.

10. Remove the lower transmission mount bracket mounting bolts and nuts.

A/T model





11. A/T model: Remove the shift cable cover.






12. Use a transmission jack to lift the transmission 30-40 mm (1.2-1.6 in).






13. Remove the clutch cover/torque converter cover (A) and the transmission mounting bolts (B).

14. Remove the bolts securing the oil pan.






15. Using a flat blade screwdriver, separate the oil pan from the engine block in the places shown.

16. Remove the oil pan.
