Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) Symptom Troubleshooting - Adaptive cruise control (ACC) indicator (amber) does not come on

Adaptive cruise control (ACC) indicator (amber) does not come on

1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II), then wait for 10 seconds.

2. Watch the following indicators in the gauge control module:

- MIL
- Brake system light
- Charging light

Do the indicators come on?

YES -

Go to the gauge control module self-diagnostic function Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview.�

NO -

Go to step 3.

3. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).

4. Check the No. 21 (7.5 A) fuse in the under-dash fuse/relay box.

Is the fuse OK?

YES -

Go to step 5.

NO -

Check for a short in the wire between the No. 21 (7.5 A) fuse socket and the gauge control module. If OK, replace the fuse.�

5. Disconnect gauge control module connector A (12P).

6. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).

7. Measure the voltage between gauge control module connector A (12P) terminal No. 7 and body ground.
There should be battery voltage.





Is there battery voltage?

YES -

Substitute a known-good gauge control module and recheck. If the problem goes away, replace the original gauge control module Service and Repair.�

NO -

Repair an open in the wire between the No. 21 (7.5 A) fuse in the under-dash fuse/relay box and the gauge control module. If OK, replace the under-dash fuse/relay box.�
